About us
The origin of MyTeamPerformance
MyTeamPerformance was developed in 2006 by former professional hockey coach Gijs van Heumen. As coach of the first women’s team of HC Rotterdam he needed more and more accurate strategies to gain insight into his team’s performances and make the team better.
MyTP enabled him to make communication with his players more effective. By showing them video footage he was able to point out aspects of their game that needed improvement and to make the players aware of their personal development.
What started as an easily accessible means of communication between coach and player soon developed into something much bigger. MyVideoAnalyser was launched in 2016. This digital tool makes it possible to split up video material into separate clips, to select highlights and to create personal playlists. All valuable data about the team can be joined, controlled and analysed with the help of MyTP and MyVideoAnalyser.
‘The tool has been created for trainers who want to improve individual players, technically as well as tactically,’ Gijs explains. ‘Apple’s rapidly developed techniques and their strong software have made it possible for us to finetune our system. We used to be satisfied with replaying video footages on a video recorder. Now we can select any moment of a match that we need and post it in a timeline, join it to a specific player and analyse it at any moment anywhere. This will make every coach and ultimately players, too, better than before.’
OUR TECHNOLOGY
Always on the move
We continually optimise the systems of MyTeamPerformance in accordance with our clients’ and users’ wishes. Advanced techniques enable us to translate many of their wishes into further development of our tools. Dedication and attention are our key concepts. As we construct all our systems ourselves we can always upgrade and finetune them in accordance with the latest technical developments. MyTeamPerformance makes sure you can always rely on the system.
The power of video analysis
We are convinced that reliable and easily accessible technology can make any team better irrespective of the level of their game. However experienced you may be as a coach or player it is impossible to remember all the crucial moments of a game in the heat of the moment and influenced by the emotions that inevitably play a part. Moreover, most people prefer learning from visual material and often take in information better when repeatedly confronted with it. Video analysis after a match makes it possible for you to map out whatever you want to highlight: running lines, the number of changes in the game or the number of recaptures of the ball, any part of the game can be observed an analysed.
